A Nigerian man has aroused reactions online after venting his anger over what he described as a shocking betrayal by his younger sister, who lives in Italy.

The visibly upset man took to social media to lament after discovering that his sister had installed a CCTV camera at the construction site of a house he is supervising for her in Nigeria.

In a video making the rounds online, he questioned her trust and expressed deep frustration over the action, suggesting he might walk away from the project entirely.

“Guys, see my sister o. My sister dey Italy, gave me this project to help her build it. Now my sister gets mind, go carry CCTV camera put am for site where I’m building the house for her. This is my younger sister that did this to me o. How can I explain this?”

The man said he was hurt that despite entrusting him with the responsibility of overseeing the construction, she still felt the need to monitor activities remotely.

“So if this girl no trust me, why did she give me the project to help her to do it? Guys, I don’t know. Guys, I don vex. I’m thinking of leaving this project for her because why will she do such a thing… How can you go and install a CCTV camera at the site where I’m suffering to help you build your house?”

He further expressed disbelief that the action came from someone he described as his “last born” sister.

“Oh! Omo Small Pikin our last born wey I senior. It’s well o. It’s well. It’s a good way. It’s very good…”

The incident has since stirred mixed reactions on social media, with some users siding with the sister, arguing that installing CCTV cameras at construction sites is a standard security and accountability measure, especially for those overseeing projects from abroad.

Others, however, empathised with the man, saying the move could be interpreted as a lack of trust, particularly given their family relationship.
