New satellite images released by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) show extensive destruction at a surface-to-air missile facility in Karaj, a strategic site just west of Tehran.

The imagery, shared publicly this week, lays bare multiple impact points across the Karaj air defense complex, highlighting the scale of damage inflicted on Iran’s surface-to-air missile infrastructure. The facility, identified by U.S. officials as part of Iran’s broader missile network, appears to have suffered direct hits on key buildings and launch-related structures.

CENTCOM released the before-and-after visuals following recent U.S. strikes targeting Iranian missile capabilities amid the ongoing conflict between Washington and Tehran. Analysts say the images underscore a concerted effort to degrade Iran’s air defense and missile systems around the capital region, reducing the country’s ability to threaten U.S. and allied aircraft.

While Iranian authorities have yet to provide a detailed public assessment of the Karaj site, state media has broadly condemned U.S. attacks on its military infrastructure, accusing Washington of escalating the war. The newly released imagery is likely to fuel further scrutiny of the effectiveness and scope of U.S. strikes on Iran’s missile and air defense network.
