A two-storey building under construction has collapsed in Jikwoyi, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, trapping an unspecified number of workers beneath the rubble.
Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, sending shockwaves through the area as residents and passersby rushed to the scene.
Emergency responders, including officials of the National Emergency Management Agency, are currently on ground, coordinating rescue efforts and working to reach those trapped.
