Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury made a dominant return to the ring, outclassing Russian contender Arslanbek Makhmudov over 12 one‑sided rounds to claim a wide unanimous decision at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Back in action after about 16 months away from boxing following consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, Fury used his height, reach and ring craft to keep Makhmudov under control from the opening bell.

Working mostly off the jab and switching stances at times, the 37‑year‑old Briton steadily picked the challenger apart, limiting the heavy‑handed Russian to isolated overhand rights that never seriously shifted the momentum of the fight.

All three judges scored the contest widely in Fury’s favour, with tallies of 120-108, 120-108 and 119-109 reflecting his dominance over the full 12 rounds.

The victory, his first since 2023, restores Fury to the heart of the heavyweight conversation and immediately fuelled talk of a blockbuster clash with ringside rival Anthony Joshua later this year. Speaking in the ring afterwards, Fury hailed his performance after a long layoff and publicly called out Joshua, insisting it is time to deliver the all‑British showdown fans have demanded for years.
