Arne Slot says dealing with public criticism is not what makes management difficult, admitting the real strain comes from trying to win games while missing several key players through injury and unavailability.

Speaking ahead of his side’s next fixture, Slot said he does not feel weighed down by negative opinions from outside the club and is instead fully focused on performance and results on the pitch. He explained that criticism “isn’t what makes this job” difficult for him.

The Dutch coach stressed that the true difficulty lies in preparing his team to compete every three days without a full squad to choose from. He highlighted the challenge of “trying to win the next game with so many players unavailable,” describing that as the hardest part of his current situation.
