A young man identified as Ikechukwu Kelechi from Abia State has reportedly been arrested by security operatives following an investigation into a kidnapping case.
According to available information, Ikechukwu allegedly lent his mobile phone to an individual to make a call, unaware of the person’s alleged involvement in criminal activities. The caller was later accused of using the phone to contact the family of a kidnapping victim and demand ransom.
Security agencies reportedly traced the phone number used in the communication, leading investigators to details linked to Ikechukwu. As a result, he was taken into custody to assist with ongoing investigations.
Authorities are expected to continue their inquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and establish any possible connection between Ikechukwu and the alleged crime.
