Stakeholders in Enugu North Senatorial District have endorsed Bishop Ossai Okwudili Elias for the Senate seat, describing him as a credible candidate with the capacity to provide effective representation and drive development across the district.
In a statement, the group said Bishop Ossai embodies the qualities of integrity, competence and people-oriented leadership needed to advance the interests of Enugu North and strengthen democratic governance.
The stakeholders noted that both Bishop Ossai and the late Senator Okey Ezea are from Itchi Community in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, adding that his emergence would help sustain the legacy of service associated with the late lawmaker.
While emphasizing that leadership positions should be determined by merit, character and capacity, the group urged political leaders, delegates, youths, women groups and community organisations to objectively assess all aspirants seeking the Senate seat.
They expressed confidence that Bishop Ossai possesses the experience and leadership qualities required to unite the district, attract development and provide a strong voice for Enugu North at the National Assembly.
