The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reaffirmed its support for President ahead of the 2027 general elections, while moving to strengthen party unity amid ongoing internal disputes.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting with ward executives, State APC Chairman, said the party remains committed to grassroots mobilisation and has concluded its candidate selection process for upcoming elections.
Anosike maintained that candidates who emerged from the party primaries were duly elected through established procedures and cannot be replaced through external influence or media campaigns.
The party also ratified its senatorial candidates for the three senatorial districts and approved the expulsion of several members accused of taking legal actions against the party.
In a bid to address internal disagreements, the APC inaugurated a five-member reconciliation committee tasked with fostering unity and resolving lingering disputes among members.
Party leaders described recent controversies surrounding the APC in Anambra as distractions, insisting that the party remains focused on strengthening its structure and supporting President Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
