Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has attributed the state’s ongoing infrastructure transformation to increased federal allocations and economic reforms introduced by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking during a visit by members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors on a media tour of the South-East, Mbah said policies such as fuel subsidy removal, exchange rate unification, tax reforms, and enhanced support to subnational governments have provided states with greater financial capacity to execute large-scale development projects.

According to the governor, the improved fiscal environment has enabled Enugu State to invest heavily in critical sectors including infrastructure, security, healthcare, education, and agriculture, resulting in visible developmental strides across the state.

Mbah noted that increased allocations from the Federation Account have allowed the state to move beyond routine salary payments and focus on transformative projects that improve living standards and stimulate economic growth.

He also highlighted ongoing investments in security architecture and the construction of the Enugu International Specialist Hospital, which is expected to strengthen healthcare delivery and reduce medical tourism.

Members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, led by Presidential aides Bayo Onanuga and Sunday Dare, inspected several ongoing federal and state projects in Enugu, including major road constructions, flyover projects, and the state’s tractor assembly plant.

Onanuga commended the governor’s developmental efforts and reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to delivering impactful projects across all regions of the country.
