Former Action Alliance governorship candidate in Imo State, Uche Nwosu, has commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for what he described as significant infrastructural development across Abuja.

Speaking at a news conference in Abuja, Nwosu praised the ongoing road construction and urban renewal projects being executed under Wike’s administration, noting that residents and visitors can visibly see the transformation taking place in the nation’s capital.

He cited major projects, including the Apo Road, Maitama and Jahi bridges, the Jahi-Gwarimpa interchange, and several other road networks, as evidence of purposeful leadership and commitment to development.

Nwosu stated that the primary responsibility of government is to provide infrastructure and improve the welfare of citizens, adding that the FCT Minister has demonstrated strong leadership through the delivery of critical projects.

He also applauded the construction of judges’ quarters and other public facilities, describing them as important investments in governance and institutional development.

According to him, Abuja should reflect the standards of leading global capital cities through sustained investments in infrastructure, security, and environmental management.

The former governorship candidate maintained that the ongoing transformation of the Federal Capital Territory deserves recognition, while expressing confidence that continued development efforts would further enhance the image and economic potential of Nigeria’s capital city.

Wike’s tenure as FCT Minister has continued to attract both praise and criticism, with supporters highlighting infrastructure achievements and critics calling for greater attention to social services and rural communities.
