A young man identified as Anizoba Peter Chinemelum has alleged that operatives of the Udogachi security outfit shot him in both legs after he visited their office to seek an explanation over the alleged assault of his mother.
According to his account, his mother was allegedly slapped and assaulted by members of the outfit a few days earlier. He claimed that while leaving the Udogachi office after being asked to leave, one of the operatives allegedly opened fire, shooting him in both legs.
He further alleged that his younger brothers were also shot in the hands during the incident.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and the Udogachi security outfit and the Anambra State Government are yet to issue an official response.
The incident has sparked calls for a thorough investigation by the Anambra State Government and the Police to establish the facts and ensure accountability where necessary.
