The management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, has introduced a new security outfit to strengthen safety, maintain order and ensure strict compliance with hospital regulations.
The initiative, approved by the Chief Medical Director, Maureen Uche Umeakuewulu, involves the deployment of Crown Security personnel in collaboration with relevant security agencies in Anambra State.
According to the hospital management, the security team will regulate movement within the facility, control access to restricted areas, protect lives and property, and ensure adherence to hospital protocols to enhance healthcare service delivery.
Patients, visitors, staff and members of the public have been urged to cooperate with the new security personnel and comply with all lawful directives aimed at maintaining a safe and orderly hospital environment.
