Nigeria’s drive to harness technology for economic diversification will take centre stage as the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Udeh, delivers the keynote address at the 2026 Enugu Gaming Conference.

Dr. Udeh, who has been confirmed as the Special Guest of Honour, is expected to unveil the Federal Government’s strategy for leveraging innovation, indigenous technology and digital entrepreneurship to expand Nigeria’s fast-growing gaming and digital economy.

The two-day conference, scheduled for July 29 and 30 at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Enugu, will bring together policymakers, regulators, gaming operators, technology innovators, investors, legal experts and entrepreneurs to explore sustainable growth opportunities in Nigeria’s iGaming industry.

Organised by Events Arcade Solutions Limited in partnership with the Enugu State Gaming and Lotteries Commission (ESGC), this year’s conference is themed: “Code, Capital and Compliance: Unlocking Nigeria’s iGaming Tech Opportunity.”

Organisers said the minister’s participation reflects the Federal Government’s growing recognition of gaming technology as a key contributor to the digital economy, with the potential to create jobs, attract investment and drive innovation.

The minister is also expected to highlight the role of science, technology and innovation in accelerating economic growth, strengthening indigenous technology development and positioning Nigeria as a leading hub for emerging digital industries in Africa.

The conference will feature industry experts, including the Chief Executive Officer of the African iGaming Alliance, Peter Kesitilwe; Founder of iGaming Afrika, Jeremiah Maangi; and Co-founder of Isoftnova Technologies Limited, Kelani Opeyemi Mercy, alongside regulators, fintech executives, legal practitioners, investors and technology developers.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Enugu State Gaming and Lotteries Commission, Prince Arinze Arum, said the minister’s acceptance underscores the conference’s growing importance as a platform for shaping the future of Nigeria’s gaming technology ecosystem.

According to Arum, the event will strengthen collaboration between government and the private sector while promoting innovation, responsible regulation and investment in the industry.

The conference will also feature keynote presentations, executive panel discussions, regulatory roundtables, technical masterclasses, exhibitions, networking sessions and a Gaming Tech Startup Showcase, with participants expected from across Africa. Organisers say the event will further position Enugu as an emerging hub for technology, digital innovation and investment dialogue.
