The Enugu State Police Command has called on Nigerian youths to shun criminal activities and embrace honesty, hard work and integrity as the foundation for lasting success.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Daniel Ndukwe, made the appeal in a statement issued in Enugu while reflecting on lessons from the just-concluded 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In the statement titled “Beyond the Trophy: What Spain’s World Cup Triumph Teaches About Success and Integrity,” Ndukwe urged young people to reject the temptation of quick gains through crime and instead pursue legitimate means of achieving their goals.
He stressed that enduring success in sports, education, business and other fields is built on discipline, perseverance, integrity and honest effort.
The police spokesperson noted that while criminal activities may appear rewarding in the short term, they ultimately lead to regret and legal consequences, emphasizing that true success belongs to those who remain committed to doing the right thing despite life’s challenges.
