The Spiritual Head of Soul Revival Outreach, Nnewi, Anambra State, Prophet Ikechukwu Uzukwu, has expressed the view that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not done enough to merit a second term in office.
Speaking with journalists at his church office in Nnewi, Prophet Uzukwu criticised the current administration, citing concerns over electricity supply, insecurity, infrastructure deficits and rising unemployment.
The cleric alleged that the closure of businesses and industries under the current administration has contributed to worsening economic conditions and increased joblessness, particularly among young Nigerians.
He said it was surprising that the President was seeking re-election amid the country’s socio-economic challenges, urging political leaders to prioritise good governance and the welfare of citizens.
Prophet Uzukwu also reminded public office holders that political power is temporary and should be exercised with humility, stressing that no leader is greater than God.
Drawing comparisons with former African leaders, he noted that political authority is fleeting and urged leaders to govern with integrity and accountability.
The cleric further called on African leaders to emulate the leadership style of former South African President Nelson Mandela, whom he praised for voluntarily leaving office and placing national interest above personal ambition.
