A tragic incident has been reported in Urhakpa Axis of Sapele, Delta State, where a man identified as Emma Abombay is alleged to have killed his wife, Nora, following a domestic dispute.
According to reports, Nora had informed her husband that she wanted to visit Cyril, the husband of her late friend, Jennifer, who reportedly died during childbirth few days ago. She was accompanied by her sister during the visit.
Sources claim that shortly after Nora returned home, an argument broke out between her and her husband who accused het of visiting a man. The disagreement allegedly turned violent, with Emma reportedly assaulting her and striking her with an iron object at the back of her head.
It is further alleged that he left her at the back of their house as she struggled with her life. Hours later, when he reportedly returned to check on her, he discovered that she had died and subsequently raised an alarm.
The couple’s children were reportedly at home during the incident. Their eldest child, said to be about eight years old, is believed to have witnessed part of the altercation.
Emma Abombay is reportedly on the run, and authorities are said to be searching for him. Anyone with credible information about his whereabouts is urged to report it to the nearest police station as investigations continue.
