While the free fuel may seem tempting, this is one of the most dangerous things anyone can do. A single spark from a phone, motorcycle, vehicle engine, cigarette, or any other ignition source can trigger a massive explosion, leading to devastating loss of lives and property.
Fuel vapour is highly flammable, and tanker leak sites can become death traps within seconds. Sadly, Nigeria has witnessed several tragic tanker explosions over the years, many of which claimed the lives of people who gathered to collect spilled fuel.
No amount of fuel is worth your life. If you see a leaking tanker, stay far away, alert the authorities, and encourage others to leave the area immediately. Your safety should always come first.
