The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the incumbent Governor of Osun State and Accord Party candidate, Ademola Adeleke, winner of the 2026 governorship election.

Adeleke polled 511,067 votes to defeat his closest challenger, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who secured 444,815 votes.

The result was announced on Sunday by the Returning Officer, Professor Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, after the collation of results from all 30 local government areas of the state.

African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate Najeem Salaam finished a distant third with 17,180 votes.

Adeleke’s victory means the incumbent governor has secured another term in office after a closely contested election that saw him battle Oyebamiji across the state.

The final results showed Adeleke winning with a margin of 66,252 votes over the APC candidate.
