And just like the story of hannah in the bible, a 55-year-old woman after welcoming triplets following 25 years of barreness in her marriage has become the talk of her church community, as they described joyful arrival  as a profound answer to years of prayer.

Mrs. Linda Ampofo, a member of The Church of Pentecost in the Brofoyedru District of the Kwadaso Area, safely delivered three healthy babies on January 13, 2026.

The road to that moment was long and painful, marked by multiple miscarriages, the last of which occurred in 2014.

Rather than withdrawing from public life during her years of Barreness, Mrs. Ampofo remained active in her congregation, attending prayer meetings, church programmes and the district’s weekly dawn prayer session known as “Emergency.”

Those gatherings, she has shared, were a source of strength during some of her most difficult periods.

The breakthrough came when a hospital visit confirmed her pregnancy. Despite her age, she carried the three babies to delivery, and all three were born in good health.

A naming ceremony was held on July 5, 2026, at the Brofoyedru Central Assembly, officiated by District Minister Pastor Joshua Appiah and attended by family members, church leaders and fellow worshippers.

The event was themed “The Lord Has Done Great Things for Us,” drawing from Psalm 126:3 and Psalm 118:23.

Pastor Appiah used the occasion to encourage the congregation, Ampofo’s husband, Deacon Kwame Ampofo, told the gathering that the experience had deepened his personal faith and renewed his commitment to serving God.

Elder Thomas Tuffuor, the Presiding Elder after whom the children were reportedly named, also addressed those in attendance, reminding them that God’s timing is always perfect and urging believers not to abandon hope when prayers seem to take longer than expected.

For the Ampofo family, the arrival of the triplets draws a definitive close to a chapter defined by waiting, grief and resilience, and opens a new one that their community is embracing as nothing short of miraculous.
