The grand finale of Holy Ghost Congress organised by the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Solid Rock Parish Umuahia Abia State has come to an end, even as Christians are urged to vote those who represents their conscience without engaging in fight with anyone at the 2023 general elections. A cleric, Rev. Ejibe Eme who spoke as a guest speaker at the congress which had as its theme “Be Filled With Holy Spirit” said the 2023 presidential election is a transition period which will neither be the first nor last. He said Nigeria is a complex society where different people have their views, stating that it is everyone’s fundamental right to hold an opinion. He therefore, said the political awareness in the country has made it imperative for Christians and other Nigerians alike to vote the choice that represents their alignment.

“What I believe is that if you make a choice against what I believe, I vote against it, I will make my choice against it, it doesn’t require fight, it doesn’t require war. “What I believe in is someone that will move this nation forward, we will check your antecedent, what you have done, what you are doing and your capacity. It’s not about religious sentiment but something we have have an authentic view of what you can do. “That is what should inform people’s choice and we need to move forward. I don’t believe in rowdy kind of thing, as a Christian as a church person, if there is a choice by any party that is contrary to my view, I vote against them,” he said. He said the congress of the church is to empower members to live a victorious life in Christ.
