
CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe has restated the African football family’s support for FIFA President Gianni Infantino ahead of the upcoming FIFA presidential election.
Motsepe spoke in Sal, Cabo Verde, before 52 of CAF’s 54 Member Association Presidents, where he emphasised that African football remains firmly behind Infantino.
According to Motsepe, CAF will continue to stand with the FIFA president as he prepares for the election, reaffirming the continent’s position on FIFA’s leadership.
The CAF president also expressed solidarity with Infantino’s wife and family following comments recently made in the media. He conveyed his support on behalf of CAF and the wider African football community.
Motsepe’s latest remarks reinforce the public position of CAF’s leadership and underline its continued backing for Infantino as the FIFA presidential election approaches.
