The Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) has conducted Computer Based Test (CBT) promotional examinations for teachers seeking advancement across salary levels 13 to 16, as part of efforts to strengthen professionalism and improve the quality of basic education in the state.

The Executive Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr. Justina Chinyere Anyadiegwu, addressed the candidates on Thursday ahead of the examination, describing the exercise as part of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s administration’s transformation agenda for the education sector.

She explained that the promotional examination was designed to promote competence, discipline and professional growth among teachers, while strengthening the state’s teaching workforce.

Dr. Anyadiegwu also described the smooth conduct of the CBT exercise as evidence of the administration’s commitment to digital transformation and the growing technological capacity of ASUBEB.

While commending the candidates for their dedication and service in the classroom, she wished them success and encouraged them to sustain their commitment to quality teaching.

The ASUBEB Chairman, however, emphasised the importance of examination integrity, warning that any candidate found engaging in misconduct or violating established examination guidelines would face immediate disqualification.

She further instructed candidates to maintain appropriate seating distances and comply strictly with all examination regulations to ensure a credible and orderly process.

The candidates expressed enthusiasm and anticipation as they prepared for the examination, which was reported to have proceeded smoothly under a transparent and technology driven arrangement.

The exercise underscores the Soludo administration’s commitment to merit-based career progression, professional development and the digital transformation of basic education in Anambra State.
