In a significant breakthrough, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has officially acknowledged the arrest of Chinaza Phillip, a notorious kidnapper, carried out by the Kaduna State Police Command.
According to a statement from Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, the arrest took place on Thursday, with the suspect handed over to the FCT Police Command on Friday. Currently, Mr. Phillip is in police custody in Abuja.
Adeh stated, “The FCT Police Command wishes to confirm the arrest of one Chinaza Phillip, a notorious Abuja kidnapper by police operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command on Thursday 18th January 2024.”
She continued, “The suspect has been handed over to FCT Police Command today being Friday 19th January 2024, and currently in police custody.”
Mr. Phillip had previously been identified by the police as one of the notorious kidnappers operating in Abuja.
This arrest signifies a crucial victory in the ongoing battle against crime in the nation’s capital, providing much-needed relief to FCT residents who have been living in fear due to the recent surge in kidnappings in the territory.
