The Nigerian army has apprehended the attackers causing havoc in the community, Kerang Mangu, Plateau State. According to their post on their official handle on the x platform they attackers have caused alot of havoc which lead to the 24 hours curfew in the community.
The youth of Kerang Mangu attacked our troops stationed to keep the peace and security during the curfew in a startling act of aggression. The safety of the military personnel and the general public was seriously threatened by this attack, which involved firing at the troops’ patrol vehicles.
A sizable arsenal of weapons was successfully retrieved by the military during the ensuing operation to capture the attackers. One AK-47 rifle, four locally manufactured automatic rifles, one locally manufactured mortar bomb launcher, seven empty 7.62mm cartridge shells, one empty cartridge shell, one pistol magazine, 36 Boris, three rounds of 7.62mm, and seven rounds of 9 x 19mm are among the items that were seized.
