The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called upon opposition presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi to move beyond incendiary rhetoric and provide constructive ideas to address Nigeria’s economic challenges.
In response to Atiku’s recent remarks about widespread hunger and rising prices, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, emphasized the need for meaningful engagement rather than mere condemnation.
“Opposition politics is not just about criticism. If Atiku and Peter Obi have innovative solutions to offer, they should present them to President Bola Tinubu instead of solely berating the government’s efforts,” Morka stated in an interview with Channels TV.
Highlighting the importance of constructive dialogue, Morka urged the opposition leaders to substantiate their claims with concrete proposals to tackle economic hardships effectively.
Meanwhile, Nigerians, including APC supporters, have expressed dissatisfaction with the current administration’s handling of inflation and economic difficulties, as reported by SaharaReporters.
The APC, however, dismissed accusations of underperformance, attributing recent protests to alleged instigation by opposition parties aiming to destabilize the government.
In response to protests in Minna and Kano, the ruling party labeled them as orchestrated attempts to disrupt public peace and national security, reiterating their commitment to addressing the nation’s challenges.
