President Bola Tinubu has delivered a resounding message of transparency and opportunity as he addressed Qatari investors during his visit to Qatar on Sunday, emphasizing his administration’s unwavering commitment to combating corruption and fostering a conducive business environment in Nigeria.
Addressing the international business community at the Nigeria-Qatar Business and Investment Forum in Doha, President Tinubu assured potential investors of Nigeria’s readiness for serious business, pledging decisive action against any officials engaging in corrupt practices.
With firm resolve, President Tinubu underscored, “For you, Qatar’s captains of industry, report any government official who demands a bribe or any form of inducement at any point in your business endeavor. I give you full assurance of your direct access to the President’s Office.”
Asserting Nigeria’s dedication to reform and progress, President Tinubu highlighted ongoing efforts to streamline investment procedures and remove obstacles hindering profitable enterprise in the country.
He emphasized, “Nigeria will no longer be defined by the past, but by what we do now and moving forward. Do not let perceptions become a hindrance to your will to invest.”
President Tinubu also emphasized Nigeria’s vast potential across various sectors, including oil and gas, solid minerals, tourism, hospitality, healthcare, and more, urging Qatari investors not to miss out on the golden opportunities Nigeria presents.
In response, Qatar’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani, expressed eagerness to explore investment opportunities in Nigeria, citing the country’s promising demographics and market potential.
