The life of Faith Adedoyin has been cut short by a fatal accident along the Ilobu-Okinni-Osogbo road in Osun State.
Adedoyin, a final-year Accounting student at Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, was the first son of the Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, popularly known as Sanjay.
MUK TV reliably gathered that the accident happened while the deceased and his classmates were returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State after recently concluding their first semester examinations.
According to reports, the bus that conveyed the students caught fire, and the cause of the accident had not been ascertained at the time of this news report.
But speaking to Vanguard, the school’s Public Relations Officer, PRO, Mr. Lekan Fadeyin, who confirmed the accident, said lives were lost in the accident but could not confirm the numbers as he is yet to receive more information on the incident.
“I can confirm to you that there was an accident while some students passed on, but I have not gotten the details of their identities,” the school spokesperson said.
Although the official could not confirm the number of casualties, sources told this paper that aside Adedoyin, another final student of the school also lost his life in the accident.
