Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made a surprising announcement, revealing his decision to step away from active politics due to developing an allergy to political engagements.
Daily Trust reports that he made the declaration during the launch of a book titled ‘Progressive Governance, Showcasing The Achievements of His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State 2019 – 2023’, authored by Abdullahi Tanimu.
Adamu, the first civilian governor of Nasarawa State, who served from 1999 to 2007, took the opportunity to laud the author for meticulously detailing Governor Sule’s accomplishments.
Expressing his admiration for Governor Sule’s administration for building upon the achievements of previous leaders, Adamu urged stakeholders and residents to continue supporting and praying for the governor and his cabinet, hoping that they would elevate the state to greater heights.
