The Anti-Kidnapping Squad of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, in collaboration with Nigerian Army troops, successfully rescued victims of a kidnapping incident in Zuma 1 area, Bwari Area Council, on January 2, 2024.

According to SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Command Police Public Relations Officer, the rescued victims have been reunited with their families.

In a statement on Sunday, she reported that the operation took place around Kajuru forest in Kaduna state at approximately 11:30 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

“The operatives successfully rescued the victims around Kajuru forest in Kaduna state at about 11:30 pm on Saturday 20th January 2024,” she disclosed.

Adeh expressed appreciation for the deployment of the newly commissioned Special Intervention Squad by Inspector General of Police IGP Olukayode Egbetokun Ph.D., NPM.

She noted that this deployment has bolstered the existing security architecture of the FCT, instilling confidence among the public.

Commissioner of Police for FCT Command, CP Haruna G. Garba psc, emphasized the command’s commitment to sustaining robust security measures in the area and other parts of the territory, ensuring the utmost maintenance of peace for all residents.
