Nigerian superstar Ayo Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, recently spoke candidly about the profound impact his mother’s death has had on him, revealing that he has never been the same since her passing.
Addressing concerns raised by fans after his seemingly solemn appearance at the UK premiere of “Bob Marley: One Love” in London, Wizkid took to his Instagram Story to share insights into his emotions and the challenges he’s been facing.
Expressing a sense of disorientation and detachment from himself, the Afrobeats star attributed these feelings to the absence of his mother.
Despite the difficult phase he’s going through, Wizkid expressed gratitude to his dedicated fans who have supported him.
In his Instagram story, Wizkid wrote, “Look in the mirror; don’t feel myself. Mama left me, and I lost myself. I can’t wait to feel myself again! Life of a soldier! Military with it! Until then, I’ll dey slap away for free so leave me. And I’m thankful y’all going through this phase with me. U seen me at my lowest now. When u see me back on my high no complain. Expensive.”
