The African Democratic Congress (ADC), led by former Senate President David Mark, has expelled a member of the House of Representatives, Leke Abejide, along with four other members over alleged anti-party activities and violations of the party’s constitution.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the party announced the expulsion of Leke Abejide, who represents the Yagba East/Yagba West/Mopa-Muro Federal Constituency of Kogi State; Nafiu Bala Gombe, the former Deputy National Chairman; Kenneth Ehiator; Stella Chukwu; and Elias Adiukwu.

According to the statement, the decision followed a series of disciplinary proceedings initiated by the party’s leadership, which found the affected members guilty of actions that undermined the unity and growth of the ADC.

The party said the expulsions were part of ongoing efforts to reposition the ADC ahead of future elections and to reinforce internal discipline among members. It also reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and adherence to democratic principles.

David Mark, the party’s National Leader, reportedly endorsed the decision, urging members to remain steadfast and committed to the party’s ideals, while warning that acts of indiscipline would no longer be tolerated.
