Tavernier to Leave Rangers After 11-Year Spell
Rangers captain James Tavernier will depart the club at the end of the current campaign, bringing an end to an 11-year association with the Scottish giants.

The 33-year-old right-back has decided not to extend his stay at Ibrox and will become a free agent this summer, opening the door for a new chapter in his career.

Tavernier joined Rangers in 2015 and has since established himself as one of the club’s most influential figures, both on and off the pitch. Renowned for his attacking contributions from defense, he has consistently been among the team’s top scorers and assist providers throughout his tenure.

During his time in Glasgow, he played a key role in Rangers’ 2020–21 Scottish Premiership title-winning campaign, helping the club secure their first league title in a decade. He has also led the team as captain for several seasons, earning praise for his leadership and consistency.
His departure will mark the end of an era for Rangers, with the club now expected to begin planning for life without one of their most experienced and productive players.
