The Enugu State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining a conducive business environment through policy reforms, infrastructure development, and continuous engagement with the private sector.

Speaking at the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) State Engagement Tour and Townhall Meeting in Enugu, the Commissioner for Trade, Investment and Industry, Dr. Sam Ogbu-Nwobodo, said the administration of Governor Peter Mbah remains focused on creating an enabling environment that attracts investment, supports enterprise growth, and drives economic development.

He noted that the outcome of the stakeholder engagement would help shape policies aimed at strengthening the state’s business climate and advancing the government’s vision of building a $30 billion economy.

Also speaking, the Managing Director of the Enugu State Investment Development Authority (ESIDA), Dr. Kenechukwu Nnamani, highlighted ongoing reforms, digital innovation, and institutional efficiency measures designed to boost investor confidence.

Representatives of the Organised Private Sector (OPS) commended the Mbah administration for improving the business environment, citing gains in infrastructure, investment promotion, security, tax harmonisation, and economic development initiatives.

The town hall meeting brought together business leaders, investors, development partners, and government officials to review ongoing reforms, identify challenges, and explore practical solutions to enhance the ease of doing business in Enugu State.
