The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for what it described as bold reforms aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s economy and democratic institutions.
In a Democracy Day message, the party said June 12 remains a significant symbol of the people’s will, democratic resilience and the sacrifices made by heroes of Nigeria’s democracy.
In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Uche Aguoru, the Abia APC praised the Tinubu administration’s efforts in promoting accountability, economic reforms and institutional development, describing them as necessary steps towards long-term national growth and prosperity.
The party acknowledged that some of the reforms may require temporary sacrifices but maintained that they are designed to attract investments, create jobs, stabilise public finances and build a more self-reliant economy.
The APC also called on residents of Abia State and Nigerians at large to continue supporting democratic values, national unity, peace and development, while reaffirming its commitment to good governance, transparency and the welfare of citizens.
According to the party, sustained public support and active participation in governance remain crucial to deepening democracy and delivering the dividends of good governance across the country.
