The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated a five-member reconciliation committee to address grievances arising from the party’s recent primary elections ahead of the 2027 polls.
The committee, chaired by Chief Obi Onwuachu, was unveiled during an expanded stakeholders’ meeting held at the party’s state secretariat in Awka. Other members include Ichie Mike Ejezie, Chief Amechi Chinweze, Chief Chris Akaghalu and Chief Mrs Tina Aronu.
At the meeting, the party also ratified the expulsion of seven members accused of violating APC rules by taking the party to court.
The APC further confirmed the emergence of its senatorial candidates for the 2027 elections: Chief Mrs Chibuogwu Benson-Oraelosi (Anambra South), Dr Mrs Ngozi Kene-Chiedu (Anambra Central) and Chief Kingsley Nnalue (Anambra North).
Speaking to stakeholders, the state chairman, Senator Emma Anosike, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to strengthening its grassroots structure and mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
He maintained that the party remains united and focused on positioning itself for electoral success across Anambra State and the country.
