Four suspected members of a POS fraud syndicate have been arrested in Obehie/Obiga Asa, Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, over the alleged defrauding of two Point of Sale (POS) operators.
The suspects were reportedly apprehended after allegedly swindling the POS centres of approximately ₦300,000 through fraudulent transactions.
Local sources said the suspects were intercepted following efforts by residents and security personnel, leading to their arrest for further investigation.
Authorities are expected to carry out a full investigation to determine the extent of the alleged fraud and establish whether the suspects are linked to other similar incidents in the area.
