The South-East Zonal Woman Leader of the APC, Oby Ajih, has said that President Bola Tinubu’s policies and inclusion of women in governance are creating opportunities that could eventually produce Nigeria’s first female president.
Speaking at the Abia APC Women Mid-Year Prayer Summit and Widows Empowerment Programme in Umuahia, Ajih praised the Tinubu administration for increasing women’s participation in national affairs and called on women to support the President.
She also conveyed assurances from First Lady Oluremi Tinubu that the challenges facing women are being addressed and that efforts are underway to improve their welfare.
The event’s organiser and Abia APC Woman Leader, Lady Chino Erondu, reaffirmed her commitment to supporting widows, saying her personal experience as a widow inspired the empowerment programme.
Also speaking, APC chieftain Uzor Azubuike commended Erondu for organising the programme and pledged his continued support for initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of women and vulnerable groups.
