The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, Dr. Freeman Ezeiruaku, has unveiled a people-focused development agenda aimed at driving economic growth, improving public services, and strengthening accountability in governance.
Presenting his manifesto, titled “A Manifesto for Accountability, Sustainable Development and People-First Agenda,” Ezeiruaku said his mission is to provide responsive representation and bridge the gap between government and the people.
The PDP flagbearer outlined four major pillars of his agenda: legislative advocacy and policy reforms, economic empowerment and job creation, education and healthcare transformation, and open governance.
Among his key promises are the establishment of a Constituency Prosperity Fund to provide grants and interest-free loans to women, traders, artisans and young entrepreneurs, as well as the creation of vocational and technology-based training centres to equip youths with skills in coding, solar energy, agriculture and other emerging sectors.
Ezeiruaku also pledged support for farmers through improved access to fertilizers, quality seedlings and modern storage facilities, while promising reforms aimed at strengthening community security and boosting local economic development.
In the education sector, he proposed the rehabilitation of public schools, establishment of ICT laboratories and introduction of scholarship programmes for outstanding but underprivileged students.
On healthcare, he promised to improve access to quality primary healthcare through strategic partnerships, provision of essential drugs, solar-powered facilities and clean water projects.
To enhance transparency and citizen participation, the PDP candidate pledged to hold quarterly town hall meetings and maintain an active constituency office where residents can engage directly with their representative.
Reaffirming his commitment to accountable leadership, Ezeiruaku assured constituents that public resources would be prudently managed and directed towards projects that improve the lives of the people.
He urged voters to support his vision for a more prosperous, inclusive and development-oriented constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
