The Anambra State Government has assured residents that justice will be served following the reported assault of a young boy, whose case recently sparked public concern.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development responded swiftly by directing the Community Women Leader of Obosi to visit the victim at the hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.

According to the Commissioner, the suspects linked to the assault have been arrested and handed over to the police for investigation and possible prosecution. She emphasized that the Ministry is closely monitoring the case to ensure that due process is followed and justice is achieved.

Mrs. Onyekesi commended members of the public for promptly reporting the incident and urged residents to remain vigilant by speaking up whenever they witness abuse, violence, or any form of injustice.

Reaffirming the state’s commitment to protecting children and vulnerable persons, the Commissioner stressed that Anambra maintains a zero-tolerance policy against violence and abuse.

The development has drawn attention from child rights advocates and community stakeholders, with many commending the government’s swift intervention and commitment to safeguarding the welfare of children across the state.
