Veteran Nollywood actress Bisola Fowosere has opened up about her experiences in the movie industry, revealing some of the challenges she faced while pursuing her acting career.
Speaking during an interview with Agbaletu TV, Fowosere discussed her personal values, cultural background, and the pressures she encountered in Nollywood. The actress, who described herself as coming from a traditional Muslim family, said she remains deeply connected to her cultural heritage and beliefs.
She also recounted an incident involving a man who allegedly offered to sponsor one of her movie projects but later made inappropriate demands. According to Fowosere, she rejected the proposal despite the financial difficulties she faced at the time.
The actress revealed that popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, later came to her aid by providing financial assistance when she was stranded after the encounter.
Fowosere further disclosed that her husband laid down clear boundaries when she joined the movie industry, including restrictions on participating in intimate scenes, a condition she said she respected throughout her career.
Reflecting on her journey, the actress highlighted the resilience, discipline and determination required to succeed in the entertainment industry while remaining true to one’s personal convictions.
