The people of Ebonyi State have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as their sole presidential candidate for the 2027 election, citing his administration’s infrastructure projects and development efforts in the South-East.
The endorsement was made at a stakeholders’ rally held at the Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium in Abakaliki, attended by political leaders, traditional rulers, and party faithful from across the state.
Speaking at the event, the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, praised President Tinubu for what he described as unprecedented federal presence and investment in Ebonyi State and the South-East region. He highlighted major road and bridge projects, including the Trans-Sahara Road, the dualisation of the Enugu-Abakaliki Road, and the Afikpo-Uturu-Okigwe Road.
Umahi stated that the President’s interventions have significantly improved infrastructure and increased federal appointments for the people of the state, adding that Ebonyi would continue to support a leader who has demonstrated commitment to the region’s development.
Governor Francis Nwifuru also reaffirmed the state’s support for President Tinubu, describing the endorsement as a collective decision based on the administration’s performance and inclusive governance.
The governor equally received endorsement for a second term in office, with stakeholders citing ongoing development projects and reforms across the state.
The rally attracted several prominent political figures, including governors, lawmakers, party leaders, and other stakeholders from across the South-East.
