The National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) announces that it is providing free fertilizers and agrochemicals to smallholder farmers under the Renewed Hope Farm Inputs Support Programme (FISP).

According to official announcements, the programme targets approximately 128,930 farmers across 25 states.

NADF said that zonal distributions have already started, with the South-West zone, where 20,160 farmers have already received 80,640 bags of fertilizer.

In the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), thousands of farmers are scheduled to receive inputs today as the programme rolls out in the capital.

The initiative is implemented by NADF under the federal government’s agricultural support efforts. NADF said that the Fertilizers provided are locally produced and marked “Not For Sale” to prevent diversion.
