Spanish giants Real Madrid have launched a humanitarian campaign in support of victims of the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, pledging a combined €2 million in relief efforts through the club and its president, Florentino Pérez.

The club announced that the Real Madrid Foundation, in collaboration with the Red Cross, has launched a fundraising campaign to assist those affected by the disaster.

As part of the initiative, Real Madrid will donate €1 million to help victims and their families. Club president Florentino Pérez will also personally contribute an additional €1 million, bringing the total pledged support to €2 million.

In its official statement, the club expressed its solidarity with the Venezuelan people, saying it wanted to show its “support, affection and solidarity” during this difficult period.

The donation comes as Venezuela continues to grapple with the aftermath of powerful earthquakes that have caused widespread destruction, significant loss of life, and displaced thousands of people, prompting an international humanitarian response.
