The spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, has been honoured with the Humanitarian Service Award of the Year at the 2026 Miles Magazine International Awards in recognition of his contributions to humanitarian service and public communication.
The award was presented during the Miles Magazine International Award Night held at Stanel Dome, Awka, in collaboration with Pineleaf Estate.
The organisers said the award recognises Ikenga’s commitment to humanitarian service and his contributions while serving as the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command.
Speaking after receiving the award, Ikenga expressed gratitude to the organisers, describing the recognition as a pleasant surprise.
“I sincerely appreciate Miles Magazine International for this special honour. I did not know that my efforts and impact in society were being noticed to this extent,” he said.
He dedicated the recognition to the officers and personnel of the Anambra State Police Command, reaffirming his commitment to promoting professionalism, effective public engagement and community-oriented policing.
The ceremony attracted prominent personalities from various sectors, including Dr. Nelson Omenugha, Mr. Chijioke Igwenu and Mazi Ejimofor Opara, among other distinguished guests.
