The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Abia State, Dr. Kelechi Anosike, has pledged to introduce a car loan scheme for civil servants if elected governor, as part of his plans to improve workers’ welfare.
Speaking during an engagement with supporters, Anosike said the initiative would enable civil servants to own vehicles through affordable loan arrangements, eliminating the burden of making outright payments.
According to him, the scheme is aimed at reducing transportation challenges faced by workers, improving punctuality and enhancing productivity across the state’s public service.
The PDP candidate stressed that his administration would place workers’ welfare at the centre of governance by implementing policies designed to improve their living standards and create a more conducive working environment.
Anosike also reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented programmes, assuring Abia residents that his government would focus on practical initiatives capable of delivering tangible benefits to ordinary citizens.
He urged the electorate to support his governorship ambition, promising to prioritise policies that would enhance the welfare of workers and drive sustainable development across the state.
The proposal has continued to generate discussions among residents, with many expressing optimism while urging political leaders to fulfil campaign promises if elected into office.
