Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has given ₦5 million to beneficiaries of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Agricultural Support Programme in Anambra State to further support and strengthen their businesses.

The cash support was formally presented to the beneficiaries in Awka by the wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, on behalf of the First Lady.

The donation followed the warm reception accorded Senator Oluremi Tinubu by beneficiaries of the agricultural support programme during her recent visit to Anambra State.

According to reports, the beneficiaries had presented a token of support for President Bola Tinubu and his administration during the First Lady’s visit, after which Senator Tinubu decided to reciprocate the gesture with financial support for their businesses.

Presenting the money, Dr Nonye Soludo expressed appreciation to the First Lady for her continued commitment to empowerment initiatives and support for beneficiaries of the RHI Agricultural Support Programme.

She described the gesture as a reminder that kindness, appreciation and genuine human connection can go a long way.

Dr Soludo also prayed for God to continue to bless Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her generosity and commitment to empowering Nigerians.

The beneficiaries, who received the support through the presentation in Awka, expressed appreciation for the gesture and pledged to use the funds to strengthen their businesses.

The Renewed Hope Initiative Agricultural Support Programme is designed to support agricultural activities and improve livelihoods, with previous beneficiaries in Anambra receiving training, financial support and agricultural inputs to strengthen their economic activities.

The latest ₦5 million intervention adds to ongoing empowerment initiatives associated with the Renewed Hope Initiative in Anambra State.
