President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of His Royal Highness, Eze Francis Eze Igwe, the Agom Ugabala II of Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The President, in a condolence message issued on Sunday, described the late monarch as a custodian of culture, a repository of wisdom, and a symbol of unity whose contributions left a lasting impact on his community.

Tinubu noted that the late traditional ruler was not only a respected monarch but also a politician, educationist, and administrator who devoted his life to service.

According to the President, traditional rulers remain vital to preserving Nigeria’s cultural heritage, promoting communal harmony, and fostering peace and understanding among the people.

He described the monarch’s death as a painful loss to his immediate family, the Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community, the people of Ikwo, and Ebonyi State at large.

The President also extended his condolences to the late monarch’s son, Dr Eric Kelechi Igwe, former Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, as well as members of the royal family, associates, and the State Traditional Council.

Tinubu acknowledged the deep personal pain associated with losing a father, expressing hope that the family would find comfort in the memories, values, and enduring legacy of their patriarch.

He urged the traditional institution and residents of Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community to honour the late monarch’s memory by upholding the principles of unity, peace, mutual respect, and community development.

“Life is transient, but a legacy built on service, family, and community endures,” the President stated, reflecting on the late monarch’s contributions and the values he represented.

On behalf of the Federal Government and the Nigerian people, Tinubu extended his condolences to the Igwe family, the traditional institution, and the entire Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community.

He prayed that Almighty God would grant the deceased eternal rest and give his family, community, and all those mourning his passing the strength to bear the loss.
