The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a revised list of its Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections, naming several prominent political figures, including Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke; Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori; and Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo.

The revised list comes ahead of the planned inauguration of the campaign council on October 14, 2026, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, as the party prepares for the 2027 presidential election.

President Bola Tinubu will chair the council, while Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, will serve as vice-chairmen.

Other principal officers include Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who are listed among the council’s vice-chairmen.

Former Zamfara State Governor and Senator, Abdulaziz Yari, will serve as Director-General, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has been named secretary. Other officials include Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu and Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who is responsible for mobilisation.

The council also assigns key responsibilities to former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo, Minister of Works David Umahi, and former Speaker of the House of Representatives Aminu Masari, among other political figures.

Under the revised arrangement, Wike is listed as campaign coordinator for Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory, while Adeleke is named coordinator for Osun State.

Other state campaign coordinators include Governor Chukwuma Soludo for Anambra, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for Delta, Governor Hope Uzodimma for Imo, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for Adamawa, Governor Umo Eno for Akwa Ibom, Governor Babagana Zulum for Borno, Governor Dapo Abiodun for Ogun and Governor Dauda Lawal for Zamfara.

The list also provides for zonal campaign coordinators and co coordinators across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

For the South-East, Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah is listed as zonal campaign coordinator, alongside Tjeoma Arodiogbu as co-coordinator. The appointments place political figures from the region within the council’s zonal structure.

Other zonal appointments include Governor Bassey Otu and Victor Giadom for the South-South; Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Prince Oladiran Iyantan for the South-West; Governor Umar Bago and Muazu Bawa Rijau for the North-Central; Governor Uba Sani and Garba Datti Muhammad for the North-West; and former Borno State Governor Ali Modu Sheriff and Idris Suhaibu for the North-East.

The campaign structure also includes directorates responsible for election planning, coordination and monitoring; logistics and operations; parliamentary mobilisation; infrastructure mobilisation; fundraising; media and strategic communication; and stakeholder engagement.

James Faleke will oversee election planning, coordination and monitoring, while Ibrahim Kabir Masari will supervise logistics and operations. David Umahi will handle infrastructure mobilisation and sensitisation.

The council also features former governors, party leaders and other political stakeholders as advisers and members of various directorates.

The revised appointments form part of the APC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections, with the council expected to coordinate campaign activities across the federation.
