Nigeria’s U15 national football team, the Future Eagles, departed the country on Wednesday for Baku, Azerbaijan, to participate in the inaugural FIFA U15 World Cup and Festival.
The event, scheduled to take place from October 22 to 31, will bring together young footballers for an international competition and festival celebrating youth football.
The Future Eagles will use the tournament as an opportunity to test their abilities against international opposition, gain valuable experience and showcase Nigeria’s emerging football talents.
Their participation also forms part of efforts to develop young players by exposing them to international football and providing opportunities to grow through competition with their peers from other countries.
The team’s outing will place Nigeria among the participating nations at the maiden edition of the FIFA U15 event, as the young players prepare to represent the country on the international stage.
