A bizarre incident unfolded in Kano State as operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps arrested Muhammad Munzali from Kaura Gidan Damo, Shanono Local Government Area.
The suspect’s arrest, confirmed by NSCDC’s Public Relations Officer Ibrahim Abdullahi, occurred late Wednesday night when vigilant officers intercepted him attempting to enter the female hostel of Skyline University Nigeria in Kano.
“The suspect was said to have disguised and dressed in women’s garb and was found with local charms around his body,” the PRO said.
Disguised in women’s attire and armed with local charms, the intruder’s presence raised immediate suspicion, prompting swift action by NSCDC operatives.
Abdullahi revealed that investigations are underway to uncover the motives behind his clandestine intrusion into the university premises.
The State Commandant of NSCDC, Mohammed Falala, has stressed the importance of heightened vigilance, particularly around educational institutions, to thwart potential security threats.
This incident underscores the imperative for increased surveillance to safeguard public and private educational facilities against criminal activities.
This incident echoes a similar event in 2021 when an unidentified individual, disguised as a woman, attempted to infiltrate the female hostel of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, only to be apprehended and stripped by vigilant students.
